Hypothetical situation ==
Lets say that my grandfather and your grandfather went to elementary school together.
And my grandfather is kind of an asshole. He's the bully.
So one day at recess your grandfather is just minding his own business,
And my grandfather comes and beats him up, and takes his lunch money. And lets say he starts an ugly rumour, too, just for kicks. Kinda fucks up your grandfathers life for a couple years, because everybody thinks he's a loser, or whatever. This isn't right,fair, or good, but it's what happened.
Now, years later,
You and I go to elementary school together.
Now I'm really, really popular, and everybody loves me.
And you're angry, because my grandfather was an asshole, and as his granddaughter, you don't think I deserve popularity.
You and I aren't friends, but we aren't enemies. I don't treat you mean like my grandpa did to your grandpa. If you ever bring it up, I deny that my grandfather ever did anything wrong, but I also don't do anything bad to you, either.
But I am my grandfather's granddaughter.
Are you going to try to beat me up for it?
Do you think that this is fair and rational behaviour?

PORTLAND -- Mount St. Helens has erupted again. The mountain is spewing a gigantic cloud of ash that is estimated to be 25,000 feet high.
The plume may have been accompanied by an earthquake of 2.0 magnitude.
Last fall, the volcano rumbled to life, sending up smoke and ash from its crater. Since then, a lava dome has been building up inside the crater.
An ash fall advisory has been issued for communities in southern Washington, east of the mountain.
The mountain is nearing the 25 anniversary of the devastating eruption of May 18, 1980, that killed 57 people.
